Raman is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her MSc. in Clinical Science and Psychopathology at Western University and has a strong background in developmental psychology. She examines emotion regulation strategies in children with different temperamental traits during emotionally challenging situations.
Raman has extensive experience working with children in various contexts, such as a counselor for Confident Kids Camp where she provided evidence-based interventions to children with selective mutism through one-on-one support and using group therapeutic techniques. Additionally, as an Early Childhood Assistant she developed and provided individualized programming for preschool children, including those with special needs.
Raman is passionate about helping children build a repertoire of emotion regulation strategies through an empathetic and person-centered approach. She is committed to using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy under the supervision of registered Clinical Psychologists.
