Marta Grzelak has earned her Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, in Psychology from York University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Psychology degree from Adler Graduate Professional School. Through her Master’s studies, Marta has trained in a trauma-informed approach to therapy and will receive a Trauma Psychotherapy certification alongside her MPsy.
Marta’s knowledge of trauma-informed therapy is rooted within her experience in providing therapeutic guidance to youth with addictive behaviours in addition to her role as a certified crisis counsellor. Her years of experience working in the education system, supporting children and young adults with special needs, has led to her experiential knowledge of childhood development.
Marta provides treatment and therapeutic counselling with empathy, prioritizing a strong therapeutic alliance alongside a safe environment. Her treatment approaches include CBT, EFT, EFFT, and mindfulness techniques. Marta is dedicated to support each child, adolescent, and caregiver in reconnecting with their inner strength, while working through their challenges together.
