Valeriya Bravo

DOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

Valeriya Bravo has completed her clinical residency at the CBT Associates, where she provided services to children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, Valeriya has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including school board, outpatient clinical setting, York University Psychology Clinic, and private practices. She holds a PhD in the Clinical Developmental Psychology from York University and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. Her doctoral research focused on adolescent and emerging adult romantic development, particularly on breakups and associated experiences.
Valeriya provides psychological and psychoeducational assessment to children and adolescents, as well as treatment to clients across the life span. She has worked in individual and group modalities providing evidence-based treatments grounded predominantly in CBT orientation. Her additional training in therapeutic approaches includes Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Person Centred Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
