Felix is a Registered Social Worker, providing therapy for children, teens, adults, and families. With extensive experience working in community mental health and psychiatric hospital settings, Felix offers trauma-informed care working with individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation related to issues like stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, problem technology use, and problem gambling. He continues to provide outpatient services and therapy at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
In private practice, Felix prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships to create a nonjudgmental space that fosters acceptance, collaboration, and skill-building. By valuing client strengths, Felix strives to make treatment personally meaningful and accessible so that children, teens, adults, and families feel empowered to identify goals and make sustainable changes. Recognizing his own privilege, Felix is mindful to position himself to connect with curiosity while establishing safety within the therapeutic dynamic.
Felix achieved his Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto with a collaborative specialization in Addiction Studies with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He uses a system lens while individualizing his approach to make space for unique and intersectional needs. Felix integrates his practice using techniques from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy for Youth (EFT-Y), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
