Nesatara is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Child and Youth Care Practitioner (CYCP), infusing her work with genuine compassion and a playful spirit. She has a Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work. Nesatara has honed her skills through positions with the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Kennedy House Youth Services Inc., Toronto District School Board, Rexdale Community Health Centre and Kidcrew Pediatric Clinic.
Drawing from over a decade of experience working with children and families, in community-based settings, Nesatara is committed to helping them develop skills to address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, anger and stress management, self-esteem, behavioural challenges, family and relationship issues such as bullying, practical life skills, and sleep problems. By customizing her approach to each child and family’s unique needs, Nesatara aims to provide a truly personalized experience.
Blending techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Emotion Focused Therapy for Youth (EFT-Y), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy, Nesatara helps children, adolescents, and families navigate challenges, foster resilience, and discover their unique strengths. Her kindness, patience and dedication make the therapeutic journey engaging and transformative.
