Francis is a doctoral trainee at the University of Toronto/OISE where he received his Master’s degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology in 2019. He has held positions at OISE Psychology Clinic, Toronto District School Board, and Sick Kids Family Genetics Program. Francis provides clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to children and families, as well as consultation to parents of youth experiencing eating disorders. He provides several modalities of treatment, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Maudsley-Informed Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders. Francis’s research interests include learning challenges in school-aged children, with a focus on use of technology, mental overload, and stress.
Francis takes a family-focused approach and aims to create a safe and accepting space by understanding and empathizing with each client’s unique experiences.
