Vanessa holds a Masters of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from Western University. She has experience providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and families in both school board and private settings. Vanessa continues to provide services at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, where she conducts comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and collaborates with educators to support students’ academic programming and mental health. She also provides on-going treatment services at Dr. Kirsh & Associates private clinic, working with children, adolescents, and young adults presenting with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, autism, and behavioural difficulties.
At Family Psychology Centre, Vanessa provides virtual clinical services for children, adolescents, and families. She draws from several therapeutic approaches, including Emotion Focused Therapy for Youth (EFT-Y), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Vanessa is dedicated to creating a safe, warm, and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to share their stories and work toward their goals. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives, and her work is supervised by registered Clinical Psychologists.
