MScOT, OT Reg. (Ont.)
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Monique is a registered occupational therapist currently offering occupational therapy assessments and intervention for children, youth / young adults, and their families. Her practice focuses on assisting individuals in engaging in meaningful activities of everyday living (e.g., self-care, leisure, productivity activities), whether within the home, at-school / work, or in the community. Through her practice, she aims to address the individual as a whole – focusing on physical, mental, environmental, social, and emotional factors that impact participation and engagement in occupation.
Through Monique’s client and family centered approach, she aims to identify barriers to participation and engagement, while assisting clients in implementing strategies to reach their goals. Monique brings a unique lens to her practice through her experience working within neuro-rehab and mental health with previous experience in crisis management. Her primary focus is on helping clients and their families be as independent as possible. With mental health and occupational science frameworks and theories as the cornerstone of her practice, she is passionate to continue to build her skills through ongoing education in ADHD coaching, emotion regulation and behaviour change coaching.
Monique has completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at Western University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto studying bereavement in youth / young adults and its impact on occupation, life transitions and life
