Ji Hee is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling. Ji Hee’s clinical focus includes anxiety, emotional dysregulation, anger management, loss and grief, trauma, separation anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties such as bullying, ADHD and parent/caregiver support. She provides trauma-informed loss and grief therapy for children and families, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Ji Hee draws upon nearly 10 years of working in Canada as well as internationally as a youth worker and mental health program facilitator to assess and tailor therapy to meet each client’s needs and strengths. Ji Hee’s integrative approach is client-centred, attachment- and strengths-based, and is informed by CBT, EMDR, Family Systems Therapy, Relational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Self-compassionate Therapy, and Mindfulness. For younger clients, Ji Hee creatively incorporates play as well as visual and expressive arts to help them to communicate what may be difficult to express verbally.
With her unique warmth and empathy, Ji Hee prioritizes providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space for her clients. She is dedicated to helping clients experience the transformative power of authentic connections, recognize their innate forward-moving direction toward growth and healing, and achieve their goals.
