Sahar Borairi

Sahar is a doctoral trainee at OISE/University of Toronto where she received her Master’s degree in School and Child Clinical Psychology in 2018. She has held positions at the Center of Addiction and Mental Health, OISE Psychology Clinic, and the Toronto District School Board. Sahar provides Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), play-based therapy, and well as relational therapies. Her research interests include exploring family-systems and the influence of sensitive-responsive parenting on children’s developmental outcomes.
Sahar provides therapy for children, adolescents, parents, and families struggling with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. She also provides psychological assessments, including gifted testing, attention (ADHD) testing, and psychoeducational assessments. Sahar takes an integrative and family-focused approach, and aims to create a safe and welcoming space by understanding each client’s unique perspective, challenges, and strengths in an empathic and collaborative manner.
